We are excited to announce that our website launched today. We are officially taking donations to save calves from their terrible fate. Click here to visit the website. Our web address is: www.SaveTheCalf.com.

On the donate page of the website there is the opportunity to sponsor Parcy. He is the cute little guy that was first rescued from the auction. We are planning on increasing our sponsorship program as interest develops.

We are very excited that Jennifer G. has donated $500 to save 5 calves from a life of pain and suffering. It costs $100 for the rescue, transportation, feed, medication, and then to give them the last gift of kindness. Any donation will be greatly appreciated as this program is launching. We will primarily be rescuing Holstein and Jersey calves as they are the most common byproduct of the dairy industry.

  1. So does that mean Parcy is going to be subjected to the "last act of kindness" too?

It's a strange kind of love that rescues and then puts to death, when there's *nothing* wrong with the calves and *everything* wrong with the industry that produces them by the score.

For the record, I'm vegan. I eat nothing that walked, crawled, flew or swam. I don't wear leather either. So please don't accuse me of being a hypocrite.

  2. We agree, but the little calves do not deserve to suffer just because they were born. It is far more cruel to turn a blind eye to their suffering and pretend they never exist. It would be lovely if every animal that was born had a great home to be born into. Factory Farms are the reason these babies have no homes. Got milk? Make sure it's soy milk!

  4. Ok... I had posted earlier, but as I re-read the blog I have 1 question... are these calves being rescued to be put to sleep?
